A Room Upstairs in 1956 A2 Print by Kenneth Lam

Regular price £250.00 Sale

Kenneth Lam is an artist who works with still life photography depicting colourful arrangements of man-made and natural objects often found at home. The images he creates explore stories of heritage, identity and culture.

To mark the opening of Rooms Through Time: 1878 – 2049 the artist chose objects, textures and colours to compose artworks inspired by the seven new homes in the gallery. From dimly lit Victorian furniture and textiles to a mountain of iconic 2000s memorabilia and futuristic insulation panels, the images reflect Kenneth Lam’s personal interpretation of each room.

Still Living: Kenneth Lam x Museum of the Home is a free exhibition open to the public at the Museum of the Home, 28 January - 29 June 2025.
