The Shoreditch Tales gives the history of Shoreditch, Hoxton and Haggerston from the earliest times to the recent past.

Living memories and historical documents are combined to tell sometimes humorous, sometimes moving tales of everyday life in Shoreditch in the 19th and 20th centuries. More than forty local people contributed to The Shoreditch Tales. It contains over 100 photos and illustrations, from Victorian times up to the 1980s. Many have never been published before. Objects and memorabilia are also used to help weave the tales. The Shoreditch Tales contains four maps showing the area from the 18th, 19th and 20th centuries. It has 172 pages and is in full colour.
