Re:Collect is a striking, interactive collections exhibition featuring new artworks by photographer Theo Deproost, commissioned by Museum of the Home.

Re:Collect, Clamp, Portrait is part of an on-going project by Deproost in which he has been exploring and photographing the stored collections held by museums. His aim is to bring the hidden into the light and to create new narratives around the objects, in turn inspiring the viewer to rethink (recollect) the everyday items in their lives.

Re:Collect is a free exhibition, open to the public at the Museum of the Home from May 31 until August 2022.

“The images that Deproost has made are striking, not just in their beauty, but also in their technical mastery. In order to capture such fine detail Theo uses highly complex technical processes. Made in this way, out of context and out of scale, dramatically lit and reproduced in vivid colours, the photographs emphasise the sculptural qualities of the objects.”
