London-based surface pattern designer Sophia Frances has created bold, botanical prints exclusively for the Museum of the Home, featured here on a 100% cotton cushion cover.

Titled The Fruits of East London, hand-painted floral elements represent national flowers of communities local to the Museum, including the Vietnamese lotus, Bangladeshi water lily, and Polish poppy. Sophia has taken inspiration from the Museum’s heritage wallpaper archives for her classic motifs, but the vibrant colour palette and flights of fantasy add a modern twist that is very much her signature style.
